I believe it is because America is about almost nothing anymore but money.

In America, we’ve made a society that absolutely obsessed, insanely so, for material wealth.

Some of that is because even for basics, everything takes a lot of money in America - our lifestyles are built around it. We are the most materialistic society in the history of civilization. It is hard to find anyone that won’t sell out - or do almost anything imaginable - for money in America. And we have a lot of money out there working very hard to corrupt anyone that “needs corrupting.”

It is our materialism that turns people into doing things, promoting things, that pay out BIG. Satan has a heyday here. Drugs, human trafficking, alcohol, sex work - all the big vices have a couple of characteristics that feed right into our materialism - the work isn’t complicated, literally anyone can do it, the skills required are minimal - and in every case they pay out better and quicker than slogging 40 hours a week in a regular job and paying your taxes.

The love of money is the root of all evil. We’ve built an entire society where that proverb describes our modus operandi. Satan has a heyday here.

I understand the love of money causing the selling of the children.

My question is what has happened that has caused so many men, many married with children of their own, to want to rape a child? Is it that they aren’t equipped for a normal adult relationship? Is it power? Is it that a child can’t identify them and report them?

Every argument I have thought up does lead back to greed. If you start with churches there's the abusive "religious leaders". "Mother Theresa" went everywhere around children but it seemed the homeless children grow NOT not the other way. (was she a trafficker?)

Then the welfare system (my son is a product of child welfare adoption). He was one of the lucky ones not lost in the system intentionally as most along with migrants. (selling of children-money) People selling their child. No matter my argument it seems to go back to money as you pointed out much better than me. Thanks for sharing SFTLC.
