This treads on the gun argument. Since "guns" are a danger to everybody, we should keep them away from everybody. But the truth is, the more good people that have guns, the better off we are. Similarly, good men used to provide protection to women and children, but culture has changed to create more bad men, to encourage more women to put themselves in danger (while telling them that they have a "right" to be safe, even when in dangerous situations), and to incentivize good men to stand down.
