From what I have heard, she has had the saving good news of eternal salvation through Christ presented to her, but has rejected it.This event might jolt her out of that mindset. God will judge righteously.

I think Madonna (and many Hollywood celebrities) got their "education" at Los Angeles's Kabbalah Center.
The Kabbalah Center is a cult. They teach that you don't have to read the Kabbalah to benefit from its power. You can put it under your pillow and sleep on it, and that will infuse you with its wisdom.
By contrast, Hasidic Jews teach that you can only study the Kabbalah if you're male, over 40, and have already mastered the Torah and Talmud. And I think a rabbi vets your knowledge before you're permitted to study it.
The Kabbalah Center sells over-priced Kabbalahs, lectures, tapes, and trinkets (like magical red string for your wrists) to anyone with money. It was the new Scientology for the Hollywood in-crowd, though both are passe now.
I don't know about any experts (and hardly anybody has two or three hit albums a year for decade after decade), but I certainly thought Lauper had a future and Madonna didn't. Lauper's songs were funny and good. Madge was always kind of trashy. She was able to keep working, but was she really that good? If I wished her any ill will, though, after reading some of year comments I don't any more.
Pretty much her fanbase now consists solely of aging queens.
