LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A wrong-way driver who died in a double-fatal crash she caused on a Las Vegas freeway had a blood-alcohol level nearly four times the legal limit and cocaine in her system, documents the 8 News Now Investigators obtained Tuesday said.
The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb 5. Quinyana Long, 39, the driver of a Cadillac, was traveling south in the northbound lanes of the 215 beltway, south of South Town Center Drive, state police said.
Long was in the far-left lane when she hit a red Chevrolet pickup head-on, police said. As the vehicles rotated counterclockwise, a black Nissan traveling in the middle lane hit the pickup, police said.
Jose Tabares, 48, who was driving the pickup truck, died from his injuries. Tabares was a former 8 News Now employee. Jose’s wife, Jessica Tabares, was injured in the crash.
Three others were hurt in the crash, police said. Northbound beltway traffic was closed for about eight hours as the crash. It was unclear Tuesday where Long lived or where she was in the hours before the crash.
Yeah, worst crash I ever saw was in Vegas. Car exploded.
why is the cocaine in her system reported like an afterthought?....
I'm betting it is either because the authorities don't want to know or because they've been told to withhold information because it might be used by the "racists" to restrict illegal immigration. Anyone want to take the bet?

Life was all about her...
What position on what sports team does he play?
Around 20 years ago a friend of mine did the exact same thing.
I saw him around 3:00 in the afternoon and said to him, “Dude, what’s up with the day drinking?” and thought to myself ‘his drinking is getting out of hand.’ At 3:00 a.m. he drove his car the wrong way on the interstate and killed three people, he did not even get a scratch.
However, he did get 20 years and served around 8.
They know exactly where she was. It’s called phone tracing/tracking.
“why is the cocaine in her system reported like an afterthought?....”
It is in the first sentence. Not an afterthought.
Quinyana? 🤔
“Long had a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.29, documents said. The legal limit in Nevada is 0.08. Long also had cocaine and THC in her blood.”
Ouch.

When I was still living in Arizona, entering the freeways on the wrong way ramps became “wildly popular”. A friend and his wife both were killed when their motorcycle was hit head on by a drunk coming down the “wrong way” ramp at night.
The same thing happened to my ex-wife in Sacramento in 1987. She was travelling the wrong way, bypassed a bus so that she could hit a compact car head-on. Of course, she was an absolute suicide victim because she had tried several times over the 9 years I was married to her. She let alcohol ruin her life. I divorced her then she moved to Sacramento. She was internally decapitated in the wreck. She was finally successful.
The cocaine was probably the only thing keeping her conscious.
The “legal limit” is not a valid starting point. It is a standard adopted by the Federal Government and imposed on states by requiring it in order to participate in road funding schemes. Different states might have different limits if not for that fact. Second point is that it is not an arithmetic progression. Twice the legal limit might have more than or less than twice the effect and four times might have five or ten times the effect of one legal limit.
That’s a sad story FRiend.
I’m sorry for you.
Need I ........?
