This is how the internet sucks any reason out of people’s minds! Biden was so intent on making Russia out to be the enemy so he could pin treason on Trump, that he actually made Russia into an enemy. This is true. The Democrats’ foreign policy was based purely on scoring domestic political hits, and were it not for their utter disregard for the fact that Russia actually was a real threat, we could have avoided war with Russia. And had we not handled matters like Bosnia/Serbia, Syria, etc., so terribly previously, Russia need not have ever re-emerged as a threat.
But the notion that our diplomatic failures amount to “starting a war” is like saying a black murderer is innocent because that white guy was walking around East St Louis after dark.
Russia invaded Ukraine. Nothing Biden or Obama or Zelenskyy did can ever justify that.
When you reneg on every agreement, create a giant nato army in ukraine, ignore every red line, create an artificial color revolution, attempt to bring ukraine into nato and put nato weapons right up on Russia's border despite every kind of warning, set up 70+ biowar labs in ukraine that would be patently illegal in the US, make ukraine into the planet's epicenter for money laundering and allow hohos to dictate US policy via blackmail, then you AND the hohos are starting a war with Russia.

Going back to the point in my post #9, there are original sources and how they are used or manipulated. HT misrepresented RT's reporting as the original Der Spiegel article, while RT selectively rewrote the Der Spiegel article. The Hindustan Times could have looked up Der Spiegel directly. Instead they copied RT including misspelling a name.
What the Der Spiegel article means is the opposite of what HT and RT say. That's why I provided the source links. So people can check and come to their own conclusions.

Are you a foreigner? An American should know that impressment of Americans into the Royal Navy and Army was a primary grievance in the Revolution and the War of 1812.
Impressment on the streets is not a civilized way to treat citizens.

Not with “press gang.” Given the well-documented Russian use not only of impressment, but kidnapping of children to pressure their parents, that’s not a very strong argument against Ukraine. And again, you make false equivalences when you compare impressment into war AGAINST your homeland (or to foreign lands) to impressment into war to DEFEND your homeland.
In fact, YOU should know that the American side impressed Americans into defense of America, and both sides impressed people in the U.S. Civil War. Impressment ended in America only as it became not admninistratively worthwhile; there’s no great moral distinction between impressment and drafting.
