Crowds of shoppers camped out overnight for the public opening of the world's largest convenience store - a Buc-ee's travel center in Tennessee.
The store, located in Sevierville, is the first business to open at Exit 407: Gateway to Adventure - a 200-acre development owned and operated by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
The new site spans 74,000 square feet, boasts 120 gas pumps, a 250-foot car wash and has 400 full-time employees.
Fans reportedly began lining the streets on Sunday evening ahead of the opening at 6AM on Monday morning.
Local traffic officials previously warned that any new Buc-ee's stores tend to attract a 'miles-long line of cars.'
And news outlet Six on Your Side showed footage of shoppers excitedly hurrying into the store shortly after it unlocked its doors.
Both Tennessee Govenor Bill Lee and Servier County Mayor Larry Waters spoke at the grand ceremony - along with Buc-ee's cofounder Beaver Aplin.
Buc-ee’s director of operations, Josh Smith, told ABC13: 'It’s fun. It’s exciting. There are so many people out here ready to go.
'You got the crowd forming about midnight last night. So, we opened the doors and watched hundreds of people flow into the building with shock on their faces.'
The site is now the largest convenience store in the world, having taken the title from a 68,000-square-foot Buc-ee's in New Braunfels, Texas.

If you can’t find your favorite road trip snack there it’s probably because it’s good for you.
BobL is a city in RuZZia. Is that where you live?
Buc-ee’s Overbites are the food to die for at Buc-ee’s. Overbites are hockey puck sized Resse’s cups that come in milk chocolate and Dark chocolate coating. The dark chocolate ones are killer, they are so big you’re supposed to only eat a quarter of it, yeah right.
COOL! I’ve never met a Russian Troll before, how do you get that job? (Asking for a friend).
My brother delivers trucks all over the country & told me about buc EE’s. I’ve stopped at one in TN on 40 several times. I’ve gotten the pulled pork sandwich twice & never again. They are sickeningly sweet and I like sweet/salty bbq.
I’ll have one of yours ; )
Wow. That's some earth shattering discovery there. As if no one ever knew wholesale bulk membership warehouses would offer items cheaper than a convenience store... Plus I highly doubt a good business plan would include said convenience store buying items at full retail and selling at a discount.

I’m not at liberty to disclose my exact location, nor my working hours, nor my direct reports.
Another Buc-ee’s is under construction in Smiths Grove, Kentucky just off I-65 a little north of Bowling Green, Ky. About halfway between Louisville and Nashville.
> Buc-ee’s corporate policy allows men in the women’s restrooms.
Another “woke” company I won’t patronize. <
Well said. I don’t care much if a company’s woke policy is nothing more than virtue-signaling. I have more important things to worry about.
But when that policy endangers children, that’s where I will draw the line.
And as this opens an even larger store begins in Luling Texas

I asked: How’s your Dacha doing? And they said: “Time to sign up, we need your type.”
Just stay away from the Group W bench.

Very true - it was the cheapo packaging that gave it away. All other stores like theirs at least had professional packaging for their items, like it came out of a factory, rather than some garage, which is what Buckey’s looks like (take a look yourself).
Get their sliced brisket sammich. No sauce unless you add it.
We had the triple meat sandwich last week - brisket, turkey, and sausage. Mmmmmmmmm. The gasoline was cheaper than elsewhere in the Auburn AL area.
Buccees rocks, and I used to build QTs back in the 90s.
The buccees in Madisonville is one of my favorites. I hunt in Normangy most years. One of their oldest stores
I bought one of the tabletop grills. Excellent quality.
👍 thanks!
