I like Trump's speech. He has a lot of energy and now seems very well-informed about the cultural war. But I can't understand what Lindsey Graham is doing there. Lindsay is a neocon, war-loving RINO. Lindsay is also a backstabber who never gets done what he says will get done. He is afraid of and listens to Joe Biden. What the hell are Trump and Huckabee doing with him?
Regarding Lindsey, Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.
My blood pressure went up a bit when I saw Linda there as well. I hope he felt completely out of place, and the odd man out. Trump made a passing comment about Linda being more and more conservative.....I hope he doesn’t actually believe that. The one thing you can count on Linda for is not being able to count on him. My hope is that it’s a “keep your enemies closer” scenario.
I agree. When Trump mentioned Graham being there I said, “He’s a snake! What’s HE doing there?!”
Lol beat me!
For God’s sake, EverTrumpers never see the “friends” Trump has as anything but wonderful.
Lindsay has been his pal a while.
I’m not saying that’s bad, but EverTrumpers need to stop the hypocrisy of saying Trump has “all the right enemies” but ignoring his friendships with people they label as RINOs.
(Never mind his homo parties, etc.)
I believe you mess up your link. Not as advertised.
Great minds think alike.
Here it is from a conservative friendly site:
I also don’t like Lindsey McCain. The MSM relished his statements on abortion in Oct 2022 as they knew his mis-direction would backfire and fuel Democrat victories.
But unfortunately The TRUMP coalition is a coalition. I hate Big Government collectivist Navarro even more than McCain Jr. Others in the Trump coalition don’t like me because I am more pro-illegal immagrant than they are.
To win, a coalition must stick together, even if some of us don’t like our bed fellows.
Trump can’t tell him not to show up; Graham acts like he supports Trump, at least half the time. (Same with Murkowski and Collins.) Some others, like Romney, would be a bridge too far.
That is the reason I’m wavering on him his Judgment. His speech last night was awsomly Trump 2.0 though. Angry and foccused.
So was Kurshner, and Trump didn’t see it. But at least in words, he wasthe Trump 2.0 wen3ed last night.
Misdirection? backfire? You are far too kind in your presumption that Graham had any intention other than providing necessary fuel to ensure the dems retained the majority in the Senate.
Good points you’re making about the Trump Coalition. There are millions of Americans who support Trump because of his populist leanings and they don’t consider themselves conservatives, but they liked what he said about trade, immigration and limiting US military involvement overseas.
Unfortunately both R in the Senate and FR here often say (and think) stupid. We can try to educate them. It is probably more effective to Dems fleeing the Rust Belt than to educate some of our friends.
