That’s a whopper! I knew a surgeon who ha a gallstone he removed from a woman in the central valley of California that was the size of a medium potato. It was encased in plexiglass.

I suffer from kidney stones and there is no way that thing ever left the kidney. I’ve had two surgeries to remove stones that were too big for lithotripsy, which involves removing them through your back. That stone could only have been removed surgically.

I had one an inch around, but nothing like this. The procedure is known as a PCNL (PerCutaneous Nephro-Llithotomy) and it sucks. Too big to crush with sound.
