I miss Popeye’s onion rings. The company deleted them from their store’s menus along with green beans after the Wuhan virus panic hit. I can see temporarily deleting the rings, since they need to be fried to order. But not now that it is over, bring them back.
I’ve “drifted away” from Red Robin’s onion rings as their breading is rather thick and holds grease and the taste of the onion is completely lost. I guess the older I’ve become, my taste has changed. A local pizza place here in my home town does “onion strings” which are thin cut onions and a thin batter, possibly done with tempura flour.
