hit and run is a much better way for Ukraine to win this. If they try to gather up into a army, they just make themselves easy targets.
The Russians are successfully using rudimentary drones. Underscores the reality that in this technologically sophisticated era, land armored vehicles, naval surface combatants and helicopters are obsolete death traps in battle.
I am certain that our defense contractors will take the $100 drones and “redesign” them, label them as “mil-spec”, paint them olive drab, and charge us $10,000 for the same thing.
It is way past time for NATO to be disbanded. The US needs to return, retrench and build an industrial base that can defend itself before attacking the world.

We should have alliances based on defending the oceans that protect us. A treaty with island nations or nations with islands. Canada, Norway, Denmark, UK, Ireland, Iceland, Portugal, Japan, Philippines, Taiwan, Australia and New Zealand.
That list could be paired down to a minimum of Japan, Canada, Iceland, UK and Denmark.

They are using a combination of rudimentary and very sophisticated drones. You can’t buy anything at Hobbyking that has a 2000 km range and can carry a 50kg warhead...

Carrying a 50 kg payload more than a mile would seem to be nearly impossible for an off the shelf hobby drone. However suspect if it were armed with a pound or so of encased plastic explosive and a contact detonator, it just might be able to take out or disable a heavily armored vehicle.
