The Last Waltz and Hail Hail Rock and Roll are my two favorites.
Stop Making Sense is good, but not as good as those
Yes I agree
Plant should do zep for the fans
The egos and feelings of the creative
They are just different
Two very diff bands and genre
Zep was over when Bonham died.
So how or where do you watch this?
You know, I was half way through listening to The Talking Heads song "Once in a Lifetime", from the 1980 album Remain in Light, again and realized that I was probably one of the very few individuals who have seen water flowing underground. When I was about twelve years old I lived in Huntsville, Alabama, "The Rocket City!" I went on a Boy Scout camping trip with Troop 378 or 379 (I can't remember which) spelunking down into one of the vast limestone caves that cover Northern Alabama. After a long hike down and going deeper down with ropes a couple of times, we stopped by a fast moving river with the water as clear as glass. We unrolled our sleeping bags and slept the whole night a few feet from the water in pitch darkness. "Once in a lifetime, water flowing underground"
Note: Regarding the the Scout Troop, it had grown so big that they had to cut it in half and a successive number was assigned. I cannot remember if the cave spelunking trip was before or after the split.
I don't follow music politics but I have liked some of his songs even though I'm a crusty old guy. I can listen to some of Shaggy's songs too.
Never mind. I found it on youtube.
Who is narrating the adventure of the Boys Scouts seeing the underground streams? Was this your experience?
If so” spellunking probably takes a lot of upper body strength, so its best to start that hobby when you are young.
Did they use a Jacobs Ladder or just a dangling rope lined with knots?
Looks like hard work.
Not even a teenager yet, as I remember they tied a rope around us one at a time with a Bowline knot and effectively dropped us down twenty feet or so, two different times.
I remember my younger brother was carrying our eggs and they broke in his pack.
I watched that, and a ton of concert vids, in the lockdown year of Covid (2020). There weren’t any live shows to go to. I think the first big show I went to was in the Fall of 2021, when I saw Jimmy Vaughn warm up for Eric Clapton.
I watched that during the first Covid year, too.
He’s a very odd-bird indeed, but one that makes the world a more interesting place for being in it.
We should all be so lucky-
I can be in another room and can recognize 60 Minutes by the sound of the voices. That’s not a criticism, but mainstream media news shows have lost my trust.
Last night’s NBC Nightly News ended with a long segment on LGBTQ. Rainbow flags all over the place. Weird looking and acting people.
I think Plant’s solo career has been pretty good fwiw.
I enjoyed his son
I saw them cotton bowl 75
Sound horrible
Id love to see them again
I saw stones last year and they were great actually
We have it on DVD.
That was so interesting! He burst on the scene when I was incredibly busy in life, and other than being able to hum a few of his tunes, I had no idea how multi-talented he is. I look forward to consuming more of his stuff.
By the way, he appears to fit the “autism spectrum” set — but it certainly worked for him.
Other than celebrating cocaine, it's a cute song:
But much bigger than any of David Byrne's? No way in hail. Never heard of the song or the TomTom Club here on the east coast.; but can sing along with many of David Byrne's songs without having really paid any attention. He was played a lot on radio. His stuff just might not have been dance club, nose candy music.
Unless you meant that comment to be sarcasm, the guy who helped Trump was Patrick Byrne, an entirely different person.
