The search for British actor Julian Sands, who was first reported missing in January after going hiking in the San Gabriel mountains northeast of Los Angeles, resumed on Saturday, according to a news release on Monday from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Missing since January and they resume the search today?! Why?!

Good actor. Remember him from A Room With a View. I once also met him running a 10K in Newport Beach.

I remember him mostly from, "Gothic." IMHO he made a great Percy Shelley.

I remember also when it was announced that Tom Cruise had won the role of Lestat in "Interview With A Vampire." A lot of film buffs at the time wrote that Sands would have been the obvious, and much better choice.

He’s not the only one to disappear in that area. Many others have never been found.

I'll never forget his luminous performance in A Room with a View (1985), with leading lady Helena Bonham Carter, a summer romance in proper Victorian times against a beautiful backdrop—Florence, Italy. He was so handsome as a young man.

Sands is married and the father of three. This is a tragic thing to have happened to him.
