An Ohio man accused of fatally shooting his three young sons admitted to planning the killings and lined them up before executing them with a rifle, prosecutors said Friday.
Chad Doerman, 32, who is also accused of wounding the boys' mother at the family’s home, has been charged with aggravated murder, authorities said.
Clermont County's chief prosecutor of Municipal Court, David Gast, said during Doerman's arraignment Friday that one of the boys tried to flee into a nearby field but Doerman "hunted" his son down and brought him back to their home before killing him.
Doerman's bail has been set at $20 million. He was being held in Clermont County Jail.
Deputies responded to the home in Monroe Township shortly before 4:30 p.m. Thursday after receiving a pair of 911 calls, one apparently from the mother who was screaming that "her babies had been shot" and another from a passing motorist who said a girl was running down the street saying her father was killing people, a news release from the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office said.
The deputies found three boys, ages 3, 4 and 7, outside the home with gunshot wounds and tried to save their lives, but the children died at the scene.
"They held these children knowing there was nothing they could do," Gast said. "How do you unsee that sort of abomination?"
The boys' named have not been released.
The sheriff's office said the 34-year-old mother, who was not identified, was outside the home and had suffered a gunshot to the hand. She was transported to a hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
Doerman was found sitting on a stoop at the home and was taken into custody without incident.

Put him in the general population. Doubt he lasts a month before an inmate exacts “justice”.

Poster child for the death penalty.. A quick trial and one appeal and by Labor Day next year he should be swimming in the lake of eternal fire. Sadly he will have as much chance of dying of old age in prison as being executed.

I have long said that people who kill others need to be put to death the same way their victims died. You shot him in the face? You’ll be executed with a bullet to your face. Shoved a poisonous snake up your victim’s ass? Someone is going to go buy a poisonous snake.
Oh, and make it a pay per view event on TV. I submit that the amount of murders will nosedive after you’ve televised a couple dozen of these.

Of course, that’s how the clowns become wealthy! As I’ve posted many times over the years those charged with murder should stand trial within two weeks of their apprehension, and if found guilty they should be executed within a fortnight. And no testimony regarding motive should be admissible at trial except the motive of self-defense.
First thought was “and they stood still for this why?” then I saw they were 3, 4, and 7. What an evil monster.

It is heinous crimes such as this that convince me there are cases in which no conceivable method of torture would be “too inhumane”!
I’m with whoever suggested drawn and quartered......June 21 is the 22nd anniversary of Andrea Yates drowning her children......she was bonkers but Rusty should have shared in some of the responsibility of those children dying!!!!There is NO excuse for killing a child NONE!!!

Expectations are that the race of the victims is going to change, just a matter of time.
