I’ll bet dying aboard a submarine is worse than dying on the Titanic itself.

I’d rather be lost in space, rather than lost in the oceans deep.

Davy Jones’ Locker. The sea is fearsome and unforgiving.

Hmm... The name of the company is OceanGate... That was the first clue... Ever hear of a movie called Heaven’s Gate? That movie sunk faster than the Titanic.

Is there someone on board that ticked off a Clinton or a Biden? Any prominent conservatives on board?

Titan submersible...

A combination of ground-breaking engineering and off-the-shelf technology gives Titan a unique advantage over other deep diving subs; the proprietary Real Time Hull Health Monitoring (RTM) systems provides an unparalleled safety feature that assesses the integrity of the hull throughout every dive. The use of off-the-shelf components helped to streamline the construction, and makes it simple to operate and replace parts in the field.

Off-the-shelf components... If you're building a car, this may be innovative. If you're building a sub... This sounds crazy.

With my moderate claustrophobia I’m perfectly safe. I wouldn’t go in that thing alone for five minutes, with the door closed, on dry land, let alone a couple miles down, locked in with four other people

This type of operation being done in a commercial setting is bound to be far more dangerous. Corners are bound to be cut and there is no instant support team.

An acquaintance was scheduled to be a diver assisting them with the sub on the surface. He was sent home because of a medical issue, fortunately. He said there were issues with it that concerned him.

Enough of these dives to the Titanic. The site should be declared an international grave site and further dives banned. There is nothing important to learn about her sinking and retrieving artifacts in my opinion is tantamount to grave robbing. Let those poor souls rest. Sadly a few more souls may be added to the Titanic dead.

All it takes is smallest crack or pinhole in hull

The vessel will implode faster than say “What the .......”

I assume they know where the sub is. No details on what the sub was doing at the time. Was it descending to the wreck?
The military would know where as they would have heard the implosion noise.

Hamish Harding is the second person to die after being on a flight on the Blue Origin rocket.

Fears now that it is stuck too deep for manned rescue sub and with air to last until 12pm Thursday.

Why not just send a submarine down? Wouldn’t radar find it?
