From Nigeria to the Congo Africa slipped back into Banditry, tribal warfare that is that is not terribly different from the slave raiding of the 1700s. Now the raiders are not looking at collecting live bodies for sale but rather making big scores of dead bodies and dressing it all up in modern political terms.
