Welcome to the dwindling club of those persons lucky enough to remember when we still had a reasonable number of freedoms & liberties...
Although you graduated at about the same time most freedoms were coming under a full-fledged communist sneak attack...
OTOH, I am cursed with remembering even further back to a time of Constitutionally protected freedoms & liberties...
Except I remember when FDR stole my grandparents paychecks during the war in a so-called “temporary” move to help pay for the war...
My grandfather warned me that once the Marxists had their fingers on your paycheck, they would never let go...
Once the American people got used to this atrocity, everything else since then has been a foregone conclusion...
As he also predicted...
.
I was five.
My parents were watching it on TV - and trying to keep me awake.
But I was asleep on the couch when it happened at 10:56:20 p.m. eastern time.
I turned 8 the next day. I considered it My Birthday present from NASA. We had just moved to Houston from Old Bridge, NJ at the beginning of July. Talk about climate change !!! It was 100°F the day we were unloading the moving truck. I asked Dad when we were going home ? He replied “this is home.”
Mom and I got to watch the LM lifting off the Moon on a color TV at the neighbors house. I still remember all the different colors of the moon dust from the rocket exhaust flying towards the camera.

Around 1964-65 my family was still B&W but my grandmother had a new color TV. I was at her house one day when Bonanza came on and I was absolutely mesmerized by the opening of the show.
I was 8 in 1969. My sister and my cousins were playing outside when my uncle came running out of the house yelling at us that we needed to get in the house to watch the moon landing. I had no idea why it was so important. He was an USAF officer and he knew.
Ron Howard / Opie Taylor is 69 years old and looks even older....
I watch Pluto tv and all the old shows are there that I remember watching as a kid from the 60’s and 70’s. I watch a show now and wonder if that actor or actress is still alive... The answer is mostly no....
You know you are old when people you saw live on tv shows when you were young are now old and making commercials for health care products.....
Jerry Mathers from “Leave it to Beaver” 50’s tv show does a tv commercial for Revitive, a product that stimulates muscles to improve circulation.
Jimmie Walker from the 70’s tv show “Good Times” does a Medicare Helpline tv commercial.
Joe Namath football player from the 60’s does a Medicare tv commercial.
Terry Bradshaw football player from the 70’s does a Safe Step walk-in tub and shower tv commercial.
What’s a car? OK OK -— I DO know.
LOL....
