A Freedom of Information Act request uncovered that at least six people have died and 56 more have gone missing over the last five years at Grand Canyon National Park. (FTA)

56 + 6 = 62 people have died.

Kramer: 51 people died.
George: 51 people? That’s it?! I thought it was like a thousand!
Kramer: 1060 survivors.
George: Thats no tragedy! How many do you lose on a regular cruise? 30? 40?!

....toured the Grand Canyon a few years back...the one statistic the tour guides never talk about are the suicides that happen every year or so there...those 56 “missing” people are probably suicides....jus’ sayin’ ......

It’s a really big place. That’s still desert. And high altitude. And a lot big drops. And not a lot of supervision. And it’s visited by millions. And on average 1 a month screws up and dies. Honestly, that ain’t bad. Probably more people die driving to or from it than at it.
