Trump is Charged Under a Law Meant to Suppress Political Opposition

A year after the start of WWI, President Woodrow Wilson addressed his message to Congress and warned that the “gravest threats against our national peace and safety” did not come from “other governments”, but from “within our own borders”.

“Citizens of the United States,” Wilson continued, “born under other flags but welcomed under our generous naturalization laws to the full freedom and opportunity of America, who have poured the poison of disloyalty into the very arteries of our national life.”

(snip)

Charging Trump under the Espionage Act is no accident: it’s a proud tradition. It’s also a deeply corrupt and illegal attack on the Constitution. But that’s the function that the Espionage Act has served for over a century under Democrats. Corrupt megalomaniacal Democrats like Wilson, Obama and Biden use claims of national security to illegally investigate their opponents.

I heard that biden says he had nothing to do with it but I listen to Levin and he knows the law and said that it’s bs. He said that biden had to sign off in the DOJ doing it. If thats the law why do the reporters hide it. Surprised at the headline above from Fox News. They have turned on Trump.

From what I understand, the producer at Fox who put up that chyron has ‘resigned’. Yes, the producer probably did resign, but was probably encouraged.

I know. That’s why I was surprised to see fox putting that up. And I wonder when they will fire Levin from fox, he holds nothing back.

“Trump is Charged Under a Law Meant to Suppress Political Opposition”

Which is precisely what is happening. Very convenient for dictators.

This law is way more complicated than that and includes during that era the ancillary Sedition Act of 1918 also.

“Court decisions do not use the shorthand term Sedition Act, but the correct legal term for the law, the Espionage Act, whether as originally enacted or as amended in 1918.”

“President Wilson and his Attorney General Thomas Watt Gregory viewed the bill as a political compromise. They hoped to avoid hearings that would embarrass the administration for its failure to prosecute offensive speech. They also feared other proposals that would have withdrawn prosecutorial authority from the Justice Department and placed it in the War Department, creating a sort of civilian court-martial process of questionable constitutionality.”

I’ve noticed that Sundance has elaborated more on what the term “national defense” being used in this case does than anyone.
The justice department is able to define that term with impunity, it seems.

Very few, if any, can match what Tucker Carlson is doing right now.

Every time I see some dolt prattle about “Shouting ‘fire’ falsely in a crowed theater” I grimace knowing the context of that fascistic and idiotic quote was the suppression of protest against the first world war (something we had zero need to get involved with, just like every war except WW2 and 1812)

It was stated that he offered to put in the obligatory two weeks and they said no grab your stuff and go so it sounds like his resignation was because he knew he was about to be fired. Whoever he is I hope he prospers elsewhere.

When the left leaning media exposes a dictator you know it’s bad and getting worse.

Their actions now haunt them to little to late.

Trump or nothing changes.

KISS = Keep it simple stupid

Recall when Nanzi Pelosi said in an interview, “everyone knows you can’t cry wolf in a crowded theater.”
