In addition, I can tell you as a Principal Infrastructure & Cloud Services Architect for a top ten global bank that there's always been a raging war between financial services and nation state hacking groups, independent hacking groups such as Anonymous/KillNet and REvil constantly probing and attacking our systems and services.
I maintain very close relationships with our Global Security Operations and Global Threat Management teams, both of which are fully focused on IT Security, Threat Management & Prevention and Remediation efforts. We take these threats seriously, constantly monitor social media for events like this, constantly get updates from the Feds (Intelligence, Regulators, etc..)
Attacks are expected to target the SWIFT payment system to paralyze payments between European & international banks, then attack from there (work outside in.)
After the attack earlier this week on US Government systems, this is being taken VERY seriously.
Anonymous, KillNet and REvil are trying to trigger a run on banks in the West, which would cause a collapse, their attack directly will not.

Certainly do not forget the House has ultimate responsibility and the next time their is a bank run and a “great depression”, “We the People” will ensure the Congress pays dearly for their treachery.
Just think, 535 objects are all that stand between us and the solution to a LONG LONG LONG standing problem. Why would we think so little of our future as to allow this treachery to continue unabated?

I can see how the Treasury wants to sell as much as they can with the lower rate ... but the fed is not suppose to consider that (ha ha).

That's a good question. My wife works for the county government and they are off for this contrived holiday - so maybe I wrongly assumed it was now a Fed/bank holiday, too.
