The Iron City Beer sign in Pittsburgh is as iconic as the beer itself.
But one fan of the beer and Taylor Swift is trying to get the company to temporarily change the name this weekend to “Swift City Beer.”
Kevin Leonard posted a petition on Change.org on Sunday, June 11.
Swift will perform at Acrisure Stadium on Friday, June 16, and Saturday, June 17.
Leonard wrote, “Iron City Beer has been a staple in the Pittsburgh community for over 150 years. However, as we approach the upcoming Taylor Swift concert on June 16-17, it is time for a change.

Ewww. Don’t do it, Iron City.
That's probably a good thing. I hear that if you get familiar with Taylor Swift she will write a disparaging song about you.
seems our little TAY TAY has matured into quite a little man hater. She gets her crowd of 60,000 little mini fem bots all worked up. The theme of her music?..TELL ME YOU LOVE ME, OR ELSE!!!!
That's been done--sort of. Sixty-two years ago, there was a Top 10 hit song about me that while not really disparaging, was nonetheless a back-handed tribute.
Brings back memories. When we were short of cash we bought Iron City. We only bought quarts since they were cheapest.
It is pointless to even suggest it at this late date.
Less than a week before the concert.
They would have a hard time getting posters printed before the concert let alone a complete advertising campaign.
No way you would get special edition cans and bottles in to stores for the occasion.
#10 Hit the road jack — Ray CharlesOr was it a top ten hit in the list month-by-month instead of the whole year?
#9 Little Sister — Elvis
#8 Big John — Jimmy Dean
#7 Travelin' Man — Ricky Nelson #6 Blue Moon — The Marcels
#5 Michael Row The Boat Ashore — The Highwaymen
#4 Runaway — Del Shannon
#3 Hello Mary Lou — Ricky Nelson
#2 Surrender — Elvis
#1 Are You Lonesome Tonight — Elvis
None of those, but one of them is very close. The tune in question was a summertime hit that reached the Top 10 on the weekly Billboard Hot 100. It made the Top 100 for the year but was in the bottom half of the list.
It’s a good thing you were some inspiration for a song whatever it is.
