The difference between the Clinton emails and Trump's papers is in the investigation.
The FBI’s warrant for its Mar-a-Lago raid invoked the Espionage Act which meant that we were always going to end up here. The focus on Clinton ally Jack Smith’s indictment has been the Espionage Act despite its obvious inappropriateness when it comes to a former president.
The Wall Street Journal spells out the problem.
The indictment levels 37 charges against Mr. Trump that are related to his handling of classified documents, including at his Mar-a-Lago club, since he left the White House. Thirty-one of the counts are for violating the ancient and seldom-enforced Espionage Act for the “willful retention of national defense information.”
But it’s striking, and legally notable, that the indictment never mentions the Presidential Records Act (PRA) that allows a President access to documents, both classified and unclassified, once he leaves office. It allows for good-faith negotiation with the National Archives. Yet the indictment assumes that Mr. Trump had no right to take any classified documents.
This doesn’t fit the spirit or letter of the PRA, which was written by Congress to recognize that such documents had previously been the property of former Presidents. If the Espionage Act means Presidents can’t retain any classified documents, then the PRA is all but meaningless. This will be part of Mr. Trump’s defense.
The other counts are related to failing to turn over the documents or obstructing the attempts by the Justice Department and FBI to obtain them. One allegation is that during a meeting with a writer and three others, none of whom held security clearances, Mr. Trump “showed and described a ‘plan of attack’” from the Defense Department. “As president I could have declassified it,” he said on audio tape. “Now I can’t, you know, but this is still...”

There is a certain segment of America, that has grown up in a political environment where hate the Republican President is the norm.
It’s been that way since the Watergate take out of Nixon
The media is just providing hate propaganda for an urban America that loves this stuff.
The facts don’t matter, and never will. The Federal apparatus will do whatever it takes to shut Trump down. And their conscience will be clear, knowing that eliminating Trump serves a greater good; the preservation of their positions of power and benevolence. American people take note: You’re being “served.”
Just compare the Hillary treatment. These boxes are for a presidential library. Of course they are going to have one. But what of is so secret that the FBI is doing all this. Its not that he committed a crime. Its that they can’t have some proof of the FBI or CIA that Trump can let out. He has something and they are willing to break every law to stop it from being released. The DOJ is now a crime organization. And they don’t mind us knowing that.
I can just imagine WHO those EVIL people are!!
What does the rest of the article say? It’s hidden behind a paywall.
There is tens of trillions at stake, each year! That buys a lot of wet works.
What are Wet Works?
Lying about a subpoena is not something anyone should dismiss.
Trump clearly did that. Twice.
Our resident Judas rat has spoken. We can always count on you giving our fascist government’s point of view.
So is this the situation where Millie pushed a plan to attack Iran; Trump rejected it; Millie tells the New Yorker that Trump was pushing to attack Iran, but he, Millie, was stopping the crazed militarist Trump; Trump tells the journalists that Millie is full of crap and Trump has dcumentation to prove it?
It seems that the way this game works, Millie, who has no Presidential powers, can give journalists information advantageous to US adversaries with impunity, but Trump, who does have Presidential and ex-Presidential powers, gets charged for refuting Millie’s claim. Was Millie in on a plot to bait Trump into defending himself? Why isn’t Millie being charged for giving journalists the information in the first place?
And the big farce is that Iran, like most sentient beings, knows we have all sorts of plans to attack it. They assume the worst of us and have the brains to figure out that Trump didn’t approve any plans to attack Iran or they would have been attacked. They also have discerned that Trump is no longer President and that anything he reveals about US plans is stale. D’oh — What a HUGE advantage Trump telling journalists about this gave the Iranians...
Politically?
Like JFK, Breitbart, to a lesser extent RMN,
Pulling out all stops to eliminate competition and especially those that pose a risk to their criminal governmental enterprize.
Buying services of and carrying out by nefarious individuals, either private or public operatives, to perform clandestinely to subvert our republic, either by working on the populace via the complicit media, or attacks personally on targeted individuals that pose a risk to the organization..
In Trump's case, he poses a real risk and danger in exposing the degree of corruption that has been going on, by all parties, hence he must to be destroyed, personally, publicly and thoroughly, whole or piecemeal, and permanently.
There is absolute control of the world at stake, and all it's wealth, so serious players get hired.
Many more are bought, like Sessions, Christie, Mueller(list is long, likely the majority of congress and current prez is somewhere on the ladder, although most are likely much lower on the rungs than they think they are. etc.
Chuck Schumer said it early and often, you don’t screw around with the intelligence community because they can always get back at you. No one is better at manufacturing a crime than the FBI. They do it every single day. It’s why I’ve said for a long time federal policing forces must be dismantled completely. Even if they serve a purpose, they always slouch towards tyranny.
“You’re being “served.””
On a platter. To our enemies without by our enemies within.
We get it, you don’t like trump. But you’re missing the big picture which is you have a federal policing tyranny that is destroying the fabric of your country.
“Even if they serve a purpose, they always slouch towards tyranny.”
There’s no slouching to tyranny when the radical left Democrats are in power. More like a marathon sprint.
Is Seth Rich a wet Works also?
I could go on and on.
Trump was not charged for the incident involving the Milley document. I think it was included to demonstrate that Trump knew he had classified documents, knew he did not have the authority to declassify them, and was careless handling them by sharing them with people who should not have access.
Seth Rich? Likely. The Hawaiian plane crash in the ocean, not nearly as clear cut for me to get on board..
Regards going on and on, yeah, started way back with Cain and Able, and continues to this day with the GET Trump goings on.
Hard to find good friends that can be trusted with one's very life.
Political sands do shift, people get bought and sold.
