Thats what I came to comment on, she could say she was an emotionally mature man between sobs of crying.
What she did to herself cannot be undone.
The heartbreak must be devastating. She was probably told - by people who stood to make a lot of money off of her - that all of her problems would be over if she transitioned. These monsters are preying on very vulnerable people and need to be held accountable.
