When I became a teenager, my mother gave me a transister radio, saying that it was what every teenager should have. I promptly tuned in to KRLA, the 50,000-watt rock blaster at 1110 kilocycles (not today’s conservative talk station with the same call letters at 870 kcs). One of the first tunes I heard was “Baby, I Need Your Loving.”
Spent many hours in the 60’s and 70’s listening to KRLA myself. I was a great radio station. There were a lot of good stations back in the day in Southern California.
