If he did though - it would really demonstrate to the world the USA is no different from a South American banana republic, where opposition politicians must flee regime persecution.

The U.S. is different from South American banana republics only in that our ruling junta - the deep state - is made up of people far more evil, mendacious, violent and tyrannical than anything that can be found in South America.
