Never use T-Mobile if you’re a rural dweller. T-Mobile is an urban carrier annd once you leave the interstate or city they have the worse service going. We used it for a month and was shutout almost completely until we switched to Verizon.

My oldest son had T-Mobile at least 10-12 years ago. Service was terrible then. It was weird. His calls from two hours away were horrible...alot of static, and he sounded like he was calling from inside a garbage can. The only time his calls were normal, and clear, was when he called me from overseas while traveling. He said their customer service sucked too. Verizon is the only carrier I've ever used, and would never change. About 8 or 9 years ago, when I went from a 3G phone to an iPhone, my bars went from 4 to barely 2, they sent me a network booster for free because I've been a long-time customer. I've had 4 bars ever since. In all the years I've had the booster, I only had a problem with it one time, and they quickly worked on resolving the issue.

My results are different -I’m running 945 Mbps download speeds on 5G. No issues, so it’s not everywhere.

We are have two places, one in the heart of Silicon Valley and one in a semi-rural part of North Idaho. T-Mobile is actually better in our Idaho location than the Silicon Valley location. We used to have Verizon but cut our bill in half (with unlimited data) by switching to T-Mobile. The quality is proportional to the price.

The T-Mobile data service is rock solid both places. But voice calls and voice quality are horrible.
