The summary of the situation of Russian re-invasion to Ukraine covering the last 48 hours, as of 31st May 2023 – 22:00 (Kyiv time).

Ukrainian Army is being expanded by a new brigade, 44th Mechanized Brigade. The unit is currently at the stage of formation. As photos on social media suggest, it’s one of the Polish-trained Ukrainian brigades.The brigade received military number A4723 and at least one battalion is equipped with Polish-donated BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the data of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat losses of the Russians from 24.02.22 to 01.06.23 are approximately:

Artillerymen of 30th separate mechanised brigade named after Prince Kostiantyn Ostrozky destroyed a Russian electronic warfare vehicle that was hunting for Ukrainian drones with accurate strikes.

According to Censor.NET, a video of the successful attack was posted on the social network.

The 2021 data that should've gone into another annual summary PDF was so unfavorable to Russian propaganda that it was left obfuscated inside the monthly reports, never making it into an annual summary.

No matter how many times the pro-Putin trolls dredge up this allegation, the FSB's own monitors couldn't substantiate EITHER the allegations of "ongoing genocide" or "imminent genocide". All we've ever seen in support of either claim is a statement without any evidence to back it up. And the evidence that has been collected, including the records of Putin's conversations with Zelenskyy (which are published on the Kremlin website) actually show that Russia's "peacekeeping" argument for military intervention in Ukraine was strongest in 2014-2016, weakened between then and July 2019, and ceased to have any validity after Christmas 2019.

Perhaps another Russian rebel lighting attack is planned for Shebekino like the one on Belgorod. I read that Putin had thousands of citizens removed from the local towns and cities. This must put a serious crimp on logistics to help the troops fighting inside the Ukraine borders when all the roads are being clogged with fleeing/evacuated citizens. Sounds like a good stratege to me.

Apparently this whole area was once part of Ukraine. Around Belgorod it was said the people speak Russian, but with a Ukraine accent. I wonder if this is also a good way to recruit more Russian rebels for the cross border counterattacks. In related events, I saw one of the videos here about the most recent drone attacks on Moscow. Apparently several exploded in the Oligarch enclave of Moscow, and the common people are rather pleased to see the rich having problems instead of the little guys.
