The one time I went to an Amish ‘auction’ in PA, I was impressed with how beautiful and wholesome many of the teenaged girls and young women were; and for some reason it really tickled me to see a youngish man in his homemade suit, beard, hat and everything, walking around drinking from a can of Coca Cola.
Back in the 70s & 80s we attended gospel quartet concerts in Hershey, etc. We were impressed with the mennonite young folk with clear, acne-free complexions and attractive hair. Absence of junkfoods?
