I was at an Amish auction recently similar to one in the video. It was 80+% Amish, so “in their own element.”
Their differences with people in our society are increasingly obvious.
I saw many young children, and as one would expect, super-strong families. Everyone naturally conformed to “gender roles.” They are quiet, and talk only when necessary. They are not at all boisterous. They don’t have nervous ticks or exaggerated gestures, and seem to have excellent concentration - unlike people today. Of course, they are all physically fit

A couple Mennonites up where I live got very sick from COVID-19. There may be some other considerations as the community sometimes has children born with some pretty rare genetic disorders, so perhaps lack of hybrid vigor can affect the immune system?
