I think he disappeared 3 days before his marriage date. He had texted his fiancee the day of his disappearance saying he would be there soon.

I didn't say it wasn't foul play. I just said it's too early to know what exactly happened, because there are other possibilities. Bad police work involves being focused on one scenario, and ignoring other possible scenarios.

For example, I watched a case the other night that took decades to solve. The police seemed to be focused on the perp being a black man of a rape & murder of a white woman in her home. They had actually talked to the person responsible the very next day, only because he had delivered one of her sons home from football practice.

It was finally solved by a woman who did genealogy checks. The relative was a close match to the white football coach. He had also left a palm print on the window sill he used to enter the house. It was an exact match, so they knew they had the right person. Because not only did his DNA match perfectly, the palm print backed up the DNA test.
