UGA and went to work in Seattle and Atlanta
Well, Seattle and Atlanta are liberal hotspots, so they’re conforming to their local areas.
My wife and I raised our daughters going to church on Wednesday’s and Sunday’s, church camp, etc. This is a very conservative Protestant church (www.life4square.com).
One of our daughters claims to be bisexual, one has a supposedly ‘trans-sexual’ boyfriend (he’s a man, but says he wants to be a woman), and the youngest claims to be asexual (she’s 18, and just graduated high school).
My wife was a teacher (she died in 2019) in the public schools, and our local school district still does the pledge of allegiance and meet you at the pole prayer, etc.
I just tell them that I was raised differently, and that my opinions are just that, my opinions. But, as long as they live under my roof, they will respect my opinions. They don’t have to agree, but they better not disparage me, or them.
Funny enough, the middle daughter lived on her own for 6 months or so, and sure enough, came back a lot more conservative and respectful.
