I’m 75. Never owned a home. Divorced mother of two sons now in their 50’s. When they were small, I would have loved to have had my own home, because we ended up moving a lot, but I couldn’t afford the down payment, or the maintenance cost for repairs when they arose. By the time I got a decent job, and could afford a home, my kids were ready to leave the nest, so I didn’t need a house. Now that I’m on the tail-end of my life, at least when I die, my sons won’t be faced with getting rid of a house neither of them wants to live in.
Oh, goody- you’re right- this is expanding the non-paying deficit living crowd inserting it into our mortgage housing financing scheme to further drive it into chaos and non-payment. The DEBT limit should be zero- as it is for most families in the USA with credit card or revolving credit. Pay as they go to not be UPSIDE DOWN. Forever if the country does not pay its debts so as to finance giveaways to people who have not earned them— aliens, fake citizens and fakir welfare cheats.

I don’t care about a work requirement for food stamps. It’s not high up on the list and only acts as a wedge issue to keep people divided and keep the phony 2 party system(Uniparty) going. Free speech, freedom of religion, woke crap out of the schools, market based economy no ESG and WEF, fair elections, fiscal responsibility, and bring government 3 letter agencies to heel are some of the more pressing issues.
McCarthy has been bought off for him to make such a statement. He is encouraging more illegal border crossing because he just told 12 million illegals that they can buy homes and send their kids to college simply by coming here. What fool!
