Just read stories where 2 "teens" did that and got probation, before going on to murder others.

Living in a warm, dark bag is similar to being sat on in the nest. It probably signaled the chicks it was time to come out.
Amazons can be good talkers which makes them popular in the pet trade. While they are generally mild-mannered if raised well, they, as a species, are sneaky biters. I prefer the macaws that warn you they are about to bite before they attack. You just have to know the warning signs.
