I remember the talking mailbox.
My friend’s girlfriend was filmed at a Krystal around 1966. She was served a burger with no meat in it. The funny part was when she was told she was on Candid Camera she started spinning around on the counter stool. Really fast.
The funniest Candid camera I ever saw was this old one, probably back in the 1960s, where they fixed this bowling alley to always give people strikes. This family comes in and no matter where the ball goes, they get a strike. If the ball knocks only one pin over, a second later all the pins fall. If the ball goes in the gutter, all the pins fall. I remember laughing so hard I couldn’t breathe. Strike! Strike! Strike! Strike!
My favorite was when they blocked a road leading from Pennsylvania into Delaware, telling people that Delaware was closed for the day for spring cleaning.
I watched a Candid Camera retrospective many years ago and saw a gag that looked like it was filmed in the 60s. There were two restrooms next to each other at what seemed to be a theme park or boardwalk. The Candid crew changed the mens room sign so it said “US” and made the ladies room “THEM”. People got REALLY confused. It was a scream!
I remember them asking these small kids to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. The first kid put the jelly on first and had to mash it to get it to spread out. Then the peanut butter had to be smashed into the jelly. When the kid picked up the sandwich, all he got was crust.
Then there was the street that dead ended into a cross street. Along the street there were No Right Turn signs. At the cross street there was a sign that said Right Turn Only. Talk about confusion...
This is a good one too. Back when genders were well known & the reactions were "normal".
Good link
I like the one of job applicants, during the interview, sitting facing the interviewer and also facing a huge window behind the interviewer. It’s like 5 feet x 8 feet big.
As they’re talking someone on the roof of the building tosses human dummies from the roof and they fly by the window on their way down. The applicants all stop talking momentarily and then try to carry on as if nothing had happened. Until the next dummie falls...
Hilarious!
My favorite was an audition for actors to cast for a commercial. The actors were told the commercial would be for shark repellent! They would have the repellant put on them and they would be filmed in a tank filled with sharks! 😂😂😂
