The saying is “Black don’t crack”.
But why is she laying in state for 4 years?
I know Gower. It is conservative and sensible. This is something for that community. I am not familiar with the Roman Catholic Church discussed however. Buddy of mine was an elder at the Baptist church.
I once read that when Napoleon’s body was moved from St. Helena to Paris, the corpse showed little evidence of decomposition. Some people hypothesize that this was because the British poisoned Napoleon, and the poison acted as a preservative.
I’m not saying that this nun was poisoned! Instead, I’m pointing out that Napoleon’s British jailers might have been up to no good. Never trust the British. That’s what an Irish friend of mine told me, anyway.
This may indeed be as it appears: a phenomenon of bodily preservation, but the article indicates that the Nun has been on view for some time. It’s not clear for how long. Pretty soon though, the present atmosphere, temperature and humidity changes will begin to effect the body. So, there should already be plans to seal her back up very soon, before that process is allowed to begin.

They are very serious about this considering how it is on their license plates.
My sister-in-law was one of the original four sisters in the order, including Sister Wilhelmina. She was old then (1997). What I found most striking about her was her humility. The order has had difficulties years later, but worked through them successfully.
