LOL, I'm a Trump firster, I just simply stated that ron deserved some credit for what he did opening up Florida. You see I live in NY, Cuomo made me buy a $2 bag of chips or a meatball every time I walked up to the bar for a beer. If I ever see him I'm going to give him a tongue lashing for being such a megalomaniac jerk :)
DeSantis' instinct was to protect freedom and liberty. Then he listened to Trump and the Deep State behind Trump.
Then DeSantis realized this was the wrong course, fired his own surgeon general and opened the state back up while Trump and his Deep State buddies were still urging lockdowns, distancing and useless masks.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, on Wednesday issued a stay-at-home order for the entire state to slow the spread of the coronavirus, effective Thursday
On Tuesday, the governor said the White House's COVID-19 task force hadn't recommended he close his state.
"I'm in contact with them, and basically I've said, 'Are you guys recommending this?'" DeSantis said at a press conference. "The task force has not recommended that to me."

On another thread we had a Florida Freeper describe the scene in 2020 when three police officers showed up at his retail business with a copy of DeSantis’ Executive Order #20-91 and informed him that he had to shut down because he was "not essential."
This notion that a law-abiding American citizen can have his business shut down by some government @sshole who never misses a paycheck reads like something you’d see described in the Declaration of Independence as one of the intolerable abuses by King George III.

I even fell for it for a couple of weeks. That might have been because a very close, longtime friend was one of the early cases and he was in the hospital, being killed by the ventilator/Remdesivir treatment.
We lost him on April 13, 2020.
But watching people follow painted on footsteps in stores and wearing masks while alone in their cars or while walking their dogs with nobody anywhere near them, along with all of the over-the-top PSAs on TV woke me up real fast.
So they both were.

To his credit, DeSantis ignored Trump until Trump issued a second order, and had to call him to comply. Probably why Trump is still mad lol.
I doubt most of us were arrogant know it alls at the beginning of the covid scam. What if we are wrong? What if politicians were wrong? It is easy now with hindsight and a lot of information to say we always knew it.
After the two week to bend the curve ran out and they started demonizing people and pulling off the market treatments like Hydroxychloroquine, and horsepaste that were working, I knew something bad was deliberately happening.
The crap we are going to listen to for the next year is going to get old real quick.
