True story: years ago I had just started working in a big city ER in administration. One of my jobs back then was to collect valuables/belongings from patients for safe keeping. One day I was taking belongings from a street bum. One of the things he had was a bottle of cheap wine and on the label,in bold letters,were the words “grapes grown in Ohio”.

Funny story.
Yes, there are wineries that dot the Midwest. I’m not sure they have the soil and climate like in Sonoma or Napa, but they are still fun to visit.
