The twitter launch of desantis' political run for president is currently a disaster.
Thousands wait on the twitter, plagued with streaming and connection errors, as twitter engineers attempt to fix problems, and actually start any kind of presentation.
It's 25 minutes past the time the event was to begin, and they still have not actually begun.
On that particular subject - advertising to donors that their money would be used for election security, but then using it for travel costs and rallies instead - legal analysts have said it probably isn’t criminal, per se. It clearly would be unethical, but since the donors were never promised anything in the form of a contract, but rather just e-mails or phone calls indicating that is how the money would be spent, there’s nothing legally binding to constitute criminal fraud. If individual donors wanted to sue, they might win a civil case, but that would be a different matter than a criminal charge brought by a prosecutor.
Criminal or not, it was not only deceptive, it indicates to me that Trump has no real interest in trying to clean up the elections, but rather has just used them as a talking point to generate more donations.
The bottom line is, how many Democrats and other Republicans have done the same thing, and no one batted an eye?
Sure, here’s one example. Trump very quietly passed an executive order while President to protect GMO food processing, and hide it from consumers, an issue of major importance to globalists.
Whatever the truth is about Trump or DeSantis, I’m sure we’ll find out much faster than the truth will ever be proven about slime-ball Democrats. I’m waiting for all the new lawsuits that will be filed, and new investigations created against Trump to keep him off the ballot. So far Ron has been spared the investigations. Same thing with Pence. He was never touched like other Trump staff and associates were.
desantis, who jerks people around, deliberately tells lies, is deceitful, and is willing to do fraudulent acts to become president, is the best person to be president.
So far, no desantis supporters has defended him on these things,
but they sure think these are great things for a president to be doing.
And they want you to like and want it, too.
The thing that has bothered me has been the use of linking to antichrist media websites to attack DeSantis and the constant name calling. We need absolute substance at this time.
Someone else may have also collected $250M under the guise of using it for election security, then spent it all on other things? Like who, do you think?
Here’s some details on how it apparently worked:
The ‘big rip-off’: how Trump exploited his fans with ‘election defense’ fund
“Friend,” it began. “The Democrats are trying to STEAL the Election. I’ve activated the Official Election Defense Fund and I need EVERY PATRIOT, including YOU, to step up and make sure we have enough resources to PROTECT THE INTEGRITY OF OUR ELECTION.”
Over the next nine weeks Trump bombarded his loyal followers with a blitzkrieg of emails, sometimes 25 in a single day. Some of the emails were specific, like the one sent on 8 November calling for help in Michigan where Trump said “we have filed a lawsuit to halt counting” (the email didn’t say that a judge had already thrown out the complaint as baseless).
Some of the emails were general, pleading with Trump supporters to “defend our democracy” and prevent the “Radical Left” from “DESTROYING America”. They were sent under several different names – from Trump himself, his sons Don Jr and Eric, the former speaker of the House of Representatives Newt Gingrich, the current chair of the Republican National Committee Ronna McDaniel, and then vice-president Mike Pence.
Despite the nuances, all the millions of emails sent out from the @victory.donaldtrump.com address essentially said the same thing. They exhorted Trump supporters to back the “Official Election Defense Fund” with their hard-earned dollars.
“If EVERY Patriot chips in $5, President Trump will have what it takes to DEFEND the Election and WIN!” said the email that was transmitted on 10 November – three days after Biden’s victory had been sealed.
There was only one problem with this epic flurry of emails: the Official Election Defense Fund did not exist.
With the media and the internet being what they are today, I doubt there will ever be real "substance." Look how they dealt with opposition to the vaccines, and the promotion of other types of treatments for Covid. We live in Nazi Germany.
Adelson’s widow is still alive with that fortune, and may support Trump in the general election. However, she has recently met with DeSantis, and so far said she wasn’t going to support Trump (or anyone) in the primary, which I’m sure was a shock to Trump.
I remember hearing that one political group was collecting funds for a Trump election integrity fund. Can't remember their name, but they ended up being ordered to give back the money to those that requested it, when it was discovered that the money they were collecting never actually got to Trump's team.
That Freeper was kind and we made up in FReep mail. All is good! Thank you.
Maybe I should make up a new last name for Charlie, like maybe Tuna.
I meant from the always trumpers on fr
I think you may be referring to this, which was a separate incident, but whereby Trump had to repay over $100 Million back to donors after he had illegally overcharged their credit cards.
They only agreed to a one-time donation, but the Trump campaign kept charging them the same amount on their credit cards over and over.
Trump Campaign Reportedly Forced To Refund More Than $122 Million To Donors
I’ll fine trump received more votes than any incumbent but Biden had more votes than trump. Whether fraud or just getting best who reasoned in the Oval Office.
Kari lake said since the courts say it’s legal best them at their own game. Teu I has to flip states. I don’t think he will be able to. My statements are not mutually exclusive.
Campaign + Outside Groups
I appreciated all of your posts….it wasn’t a waste of time because I learned a few things.
Granted, those you were corresponding with learned nothing. They are very good at changing subjects once called out and not acknowledging the initial subject.
The DeSantis supporters are very repetitive until exposed, then they bark about something else. Definitely not debating or showing any integrity. I’ve had several interactions with the handful of DeSantis barkers and rarely even get a response…….because they can’t argue facts. They are hurting this platform.
What they don’t understand - NO MINDS ARE BEING CHANGED and THEY ARE PUSHING FENCE SITTERS AWAY FROM DESANTIS.
How? When they bark for DeSantis it triggers responses with information the fence sitter never knew. The DeSantis barker ignores the response and changes subjects. The fence sitters realize the DeSantis barker is a propagandist.
Not a winning strategy …… yet the same barkers do it repeatedly on every Trump/DeSantis thread.
They'll lie and mis-represent something, and when you try to argue/dispute them, they
lie more, mis-direct the arguement, go off on tangents and change the subject
start moving the goal post
and when all that fails, they start doing personal attacks
They don't care about winning an arguement, they just want to push a lie, then screw up attempts at rebuttals so people only remember the original lie
Sigh. Rove workef for Trump, too.
"Usually when you pick on a person for that you end up doing the same type thing down the road."
I think it was the RNC begging for money for the election fight that never happened. Ask Ronna Romney where all that money went.
