Political launch of desantis on twitter a disaster.... Does it portend what desantis future will be?
Vanity

Posted on 05/24/2023 3:28:11 PM PDT by backpacker_c

The twitter launch of desantis' political run for president is currently a disaster.

Thousands wait on the twitter, plagued with streaming and connection errors, as twitter engineers attempt to fix problems, and actually start any kind of presentation.

It's 25 minutes past the time the event was to begin, and they still have not actually begun.

Ahhhh I see. Ladies and gentlemen…someone who can’t answer a question and debate. Either because they can’t or don’t like wind challenged. The majority of your posts are a single sentence. I wonder why

And staying on offense. I’m SO proud of Speaker MCCarthy, he has stayed on offense the ENTIRE time, and thrown everything back in the antichrist medias face.

"If Biden wins I don’t give a damn anymore I am DONE we lose our nation regardless!!"

I agree, and have previous stated most of what you expressed in your comment. I said a long time ago that the GOP was a serial abuser, because the only time they know you is when they want something from you, like your money, and your vote. Once they get what they want, they kick you in the teeth, and stab you in the back until the next election cycle comes around, and then they're back again begging from you again. After January 6th, I changed my party affiliation from Republican to No Party. I refuse to belong to a party that doesn't respect me enough to even want to try to protect my ballot from voter fraud.

After Gore tried to steal Florida from Bush in 2000, and the Supreme Court got involved...Congressional Democrats refused to accept Bush as the legitimate President. Did the Republicans in Congress do anything about it? Did they try to do anything in the 20 years that passed since the "hanging chad" fiasco? Nope, not even when they had control of both Houses of Congress, and the White House. They sat on their hands and rolled over for the Democrats. I have vowed that I will never compromise my values, or self-esteem ever again, by voting for a Rino, nor will I vote for an a-hole Republican just to keep the seat Republican. That is why the Republican Party will never be reformed. Too many people are willing to vote for a Republican candidate that doesn't deserve their vote. I will never vote for the better of two evils, because in the end, you are still stuck with evil.

It’s too late, anyway, we’re not voting our way out of this mess.

Are you some kind of nut. Are we a Nation of laws or not. It is not OK to break the law and target people or corporations because we don’t like their values, especially nopt as an elected or Government official.
As individuals we can boycott, use other sources of entertainment, expose them in posts, articles etc. Target them if they break the law. What we can’t do is break the law to attack them like the IRS did to discourage Conservative organizations. Situational morality is for leftists.
This whole disney donor schtick is garbage. Trump gave no one favors for donations. Many of the corporate donations were to PACs not to Trump in any case.

Disney donated some $4.8 million to Florida candidates in the 2020 election cycle, campaign finance reports show. Disney during the 2020 election cycle donated $913,000 to the Republican Party of Florida and another $586,000 to GOP Senate campaigns, records show. The company also donated $313,000 to the Florida Democratic Party and $50,000 directly to DeSantis.

https://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/walt-disney-co/summary?id=D000000128
Disney Contributions 2020 Congressional Candidates
Democrats $1,059,719 88.19%
Republicans $130,617 10.87%
Others $11,239 0.94%

All Federal Candidates
Party of Recipients

Democrats $1,059,300 89.02%
Republicans $130,617 10.98%

The RATS ran Charlie Christ. The RATs wanted RDS to win because they knew the plan was to have him run to get rid of Trump. Many RATs stayed home.

Christ even asked RDS that in a debate and he waffled around with the answer rather than admitting he was going to run for POTUS.

"Could be. Did you know, Trump collected $250M from his supporters in January 2021 for an "election security fund" supposedly to help clean that up, but never actually spent any of that money for that purpose."

No, I didn't know about any collection for that purpose, so I have no idea if the money was used or not. If what you say is true, why haven't the Feds investigated him for it, since they've been up his ass on everything else, even things from 30 years ago?

Trump has openly come out to the LEFT of DeSantis on:

Abortion
Gun Control
Groomers

If you care about conservatism, Trump has abandoned you. He has openly blamed conservatives for the losses in 2020 and 2022.

>> But I am all for a robust primary to vet our side.

Me too. I’m looking forward to watching Trump mop the floor with the other wanna-bes. With one hand tied behind his back.

It’ll be a thing of divine beauty. Quite literally.

Sorry. A laundry list lacking context or nuance. DeSantis has done some good things in Fla and some bad thigs but he is not who he pretends to be. If one does not look into the issues and follow the money trail he looks good but not on deeper inspection.

In order to win the election one must have the support of swing voters. It sucks. But it is what it is. A large part odd the swing voters are women who will never vote for trump. In 2016 trump rode the momentum of nationalism and it was framed by England going through brexit. The times were good, economies were good and there was a sense of national pride.

In 2024 we are in a world wide recession. There is a move toward general safer and gimme dat. The swing voter women will vote for safety (and yes I agree that those who would trade liberty for security are worthy of neither). Trump is making no inroads with this demographic. He is doubling down on idiotic his town hall while funny impugned a woman appropriately but coarsely. He cannot frame his argument to build the winning coalition. Trump has to flip several states back to his side. I agree with Ms Lake who is promoting near the hell out of them with ballot harvesting.

But tell me where he flips states back. I would love to be convinced I am incorrect.

Trump’s PAC in 2022 raised over $100 million for the midterms, but only spent $15 million.

$5 million went to Trump’s legal bills.

FACT: Mitch McConnell’s Senate PAC spent more on Trump Senate candidates than Trump spent on them.

I explain it with the fact that Trump endorsements won 90+% in primaries & 83+% in elections.

Disney donated more than $10 million to Trump in 2020.

That is why Trump sides with Disney....he is bought and paid for and doesn’t care about your children.

"Attacking from the left on Disney, and parroting Dem talking points on Entitlements."

Like what? Do you have any online source links to share? Using your statement for search purposes, all I could find was that Trump, not siding with the company's tolerance policies, warned DeSantis it could be an economic disaster if Disney left Florida.

Sorry, I don't think any fanatical Trump supporter actually looked at DeSantis' record. You all just regurgitate the same pabulum over and over with nothing to back it up.

You lay accusations against DeSantis the same way the left lays accusations against Trump.

You are not believable.

DeSantis' record of governance is clear: he is a conservative.

Trump has no core and is not a conservative. He just wants to be popular and will sell out your Second Amendment rights on a whim.
