The Texas Tribune ^ | May 24,2023 | BY ZACH DESPART AND JAMES BARRAGÁN

Posted on 05/24/2023 9:45:00 AM PDT by Miami Rebel

Many allegations against Paxton were already known, but the airing of them revealed the scope of the investigation by the committee, which has the power to recommend censure or impeachment.

Allegations are all that are needed. We know that with Trump and other Republicans, over the years.

If that were so, Trump would have shut-up and gone away.

Trump is still standing and fighting and winning.

Your postulate needs some work!

The House has impeccable credentials you say? Just a few days ago the so-called Republican House speaker is on video while drunk. He is anything but conservative. TX fights this rino stuff just like everyone else.
This same speaker is after AG Paxton to allow the left and Soros to rule here.

Ken Paxton has been Texas’ most loyal supporter of President and each and every day, Ken Paxton has served the conservative cause in Texas. For the entire time Paxton has been in office, Democrats have been relentlessly attacking him, and attacking him for no other reason than his integrity true Texas conservatism.

More Media Muck!!!!

True, the House of Rep. in Texas is doing a horrible job at legislation and Dade is a RINO’s RINO pretty boy (not saying he’s not straight, but a political pretty boy who takes the $$$ he can to sway in his position). We could have just saved millions during this session by having the Reps. come and ‘honor’ Texas citizens for hours and pose for pictures while letting the great Senators of Texas do the work we need right now to sustain our state.

With their non-help (Reps), Texas is No. 1 in child trafficing. Think God will listen to us? Doubt it.

Was it ever found true that Paxton accepted bribes?

A typical prog smear team. It's been going on for about 7 years now.

When one flimsy lawsuit fails, something new is wheeled in.

The prog that are engaging in the smear campaign will call this an "ongoing pattern of criminal behavior."

It is, but it is the prog doing it.

99% of the media here act like Ken set fire to an orphanage.

I’m not arguing for the case against Paxton, but I am merely saying that the House isn’t part of some progressive crusade.

I’m not a Texan, so please enlighten me as to the philosophical differences between the Texas Senate and the Texas House. Is there any divergence between the two bodies that explains the inaction on child trafficking?

In my opinion it has always been leftist from the first issue. It always has had the mentality and type of advertisements of New York City urbanites, to which I say “get a rope”.

And they just write by and for stupid people. I remember how annoyed I was when they said McDonald Observatory looked like a deodorant can. That shows how little is in their heads.

....the TX House is full on Progressive push with the RINO Dem elected Leader who rules down Conservative priorities and helps the Dems by appointing them Committee heads and then whine that “oh we ran out of time”(taking 3 day weekends and not taking up bills until day 45 of the session) and LAST Leg session the Dems flew off to DC and we taxpayers got stuck with costs of two Special Sessions to try and get ONE priority passed! The Senate is solid, but Conservatives LOSE in the House every time... ymmv

How on earth does the Lonestar State allow George Soros to fill a statewide office? I think you’ll find that the House has impeccable conservative credentials.

They haven't (yet). Getting rid of Paxton would be the first step, owning elections the second.

I didn’t say Trump couldn’t fight them, but for Democrats, an allegation is all they need to pit the full apparatus of the Media and Deep State, against someone.

They’ll even win using their methods, with House impeachments, for instance.

>> but I am merely saying that the House isn’t part of some progressive crusade.

With all due respect, this and other statements by you clearly demonstrate that where Texas legislative politics are concerned, you don’t know your ass from a hole in the ground.

For one thing, no matter what the Texas Tribune might imply, this is not a “House crusade”. It’s progs and rinos, completely. Sadly there are rinos in the majority, and absolutely the most evil of them is that SOB Speaker Phelan.

They will not prevail.

And to thiink, Texas could have had the Louie Gohmert as their AG, who stepped down from a highly honorable conservative service in Congress to run against Paxton.

My opinion. The senate of TX have a great leader, Dan Patrick, Lt. Gov., whose goal was to get important legislation during the session and they got their bills through committee and over to the House. The House stalled a lot of measures. We are sad as many of the state party platform tasks were just shrugged by the House. If you have not seen the video the other day of the Speaker trying to talk, watch it!!! He had a democratitis attack!!!!!

Up to date news is at Texas Scorecard, a great conservative news outlet.
