Interesting read. If even some of this is true, he should be gone. I’m guessing the introduction in the article seeks to tie this all to school choice? I wonder how much is to individual ambitions. Where’s Abbott on all of this?

Attorney General Ken Paxton’s accusation against the House speaker came as the House
investigated Mr. Paxton’s request for $3.3 million to settle a suit accusing him of corruption.
“Public Citizen” is Ralph Nader’s unprosecuted communist Big Government racketeering influenced corrupt organization. It has no credibility.
Public Citizen is a Leftist group.
The left has been using similar tactics against Governor Abbot.

He was indicted 8 YEARS ago and still no trial. What’s up with that. Kind of reminds me of the Tom Delay fiasco. Just another tactic to run him out of office when they can’t beat you at the ballot box.
If you don’t like The Tribune, google ‘paxton phelan” and you’ll find dozens of other sources to the story. The Tribune didn’t invent this feud from whole cloth.
Paxton came to the House for $3.3 million. It wasn’t the other way around.
