Actually, funny you should mention that. On Steve McQueens wiki bio (or, some such), it mentioned that when he was in the Marines, he was tasked with dealing/removing asbestos laden building materials. The bio attributed that to his lung cancer.

Dunno how they know, though, since he was also a heavy smoker.

There are millions of $$ still left in the Asbestoes law suit pool that are unclaimed. Perhaps the McQueen estate lawyers can go get some of it. It’s free money

I think his dad worked around asbestos as well.

His exposure was to a very identifiable type of asbestos used in insulating boiler joints and pipes.. Those people exposed to that should get checked every six months, IMHO.

That asbestos is always friable to airborne fibers and not encapsulated in any way.

Vinyl Asbestos floor tile system encapsulated in the tile material unless ground up or ground off of a floor. That type of asbestos laden material generally is less than 1% of demolition debris and therefore does not require abatement.
