A “plus size model” who posts under “Big Curvy Olivia” on Tik Tok has accused United Airlines of discriminating against her and other passengers of size after she struggled to wedge herself through the Polaris Business Class cabin on a recent flight.
She faulted United for discrimination, lamenting that it should build wider aisles on its aircraft.
Admittedly, I’m covering this somewhat out of amusement: it is not my aim to fat-shame this woman and I do question whether she is even serious. First, she has a backpack on. Maybe you try removing that before wedging yourself through a tight space? She looks like one of those rude people whose backpack hits those around her when walking down an aisle because they are too self-centered or oblivious to remove it. Second, maybe use this moment as a wake-up call to take control of your body?
If I was running for Congress, my pet peeve issue would be preventative health. The obesity around us amazes me (and the reason for that, ranging not just from a lack of self-discipline, but due to food insecurity and food deserts and the prohibitive cost of preventive healthcare, cries out for a far greater emphasis in terms of public policy).
Every time I cover a story like this, I think of the analysis below by Bill Maher. With malice toward none and charity toward all, I admonish us all to take care of the only body we have. The best way we can do so is by eating right, exercising, and sleeping. And let us not embrace the confusion of calling such efforts hateful—
He’s spot on. Every member of the human family should be afforded dignity and respect, but this idea that it is cool or fashionable to be obese is a destructive and perverted form of wokery run amok.
Ok, I’m stepping off the soap box.
As for Olivia, recognition of the problem is the first step toward recovery. People are not laughing with you, but at you. In all sincerity, don’t wait any longer. I wish you all the best.
Girls of a decade ago would be embarrassed to be so fat. This has gone out the window.
Aisles are narrow now even for normal people.
We’ll build an FAA approve airliner around your fat A@@, just for YOOOOOOOU! Of course. How idiotic. How navel watching (if you could even find it or anything else below the navel, like look at your feed over the hump of rump).
How singularly idiotic of this “thing”.

That girl needs a separate seat for each butt cheek.
If you want to look thin, hang out with fat people!
but to the point of this woman, we Americans are LARGE people and the airlines have gotten away with making the seats smaller, leg space less, aisle's narrow as well...
and we'll pay and pay for that privilege to squeeze in...
I doubt this lawsuit will go anywhere, but at least its broaching the subject.
we Americans are LARGE people

Fact: Most Americans are FAT people.
Eat healthy, exercise and you too can be in good shape, not LARGE or FAT.
Lifestyle is a CHOICE.
That’s a hippobottomous, not a model
I’ve got a 34” inseam.
Where’s my free upgrade to first class?!
Why not? She earned every ounce of it.
That monster was specially modified to haul Saturn-V segments.
It might be big enough for her.
She should have booked with UPS and flown cargo.
Grease up her thighs and put a Twinkie in her seat. Problem solved.
EC
That is a very valid point.
Every hambeast with an instagram account calls herself a "model."

As if a barn doesn’t get enough attention.
Not medical...mental.
