Can somebody natural born, but was a foreign leader, ever become President?

Just a question of curiousity.

I understand, from the intents of the Founding Fathers that this should be impossible due to dual loyalties, but is there anything stopping a natural born US citizen from becoming Prime Minister of Canada and then coming back and becoming President of the United States?

You could ask Barack Obama that question.

Logically, if the USA was fully States led the Federal government would be constructed like the EU parliament but with far more limits on its lawmaking authority; and its president would have no executive authority at all.

Under those conditions the birth nationality of the president would be irrelevant so long as he or she is an American citizen.

That’s a good example. Legally, can he do that?
He was born an American, so he’s natural born and he’s over 35 years of age.
If the Republican party used machinations to make him the Republican nominee, could he run for President?

I do believe Boris renounced his US citizenship a few years ago, but I think it’s Prince Harry’s wife who really has her eyes on that office.

If he did renounce it, it would have been done because of British law. But say he didn’t have to. Let’s, for the sake of the arguement, say he became a Canadian Prime Minister. Under Canada’s law, you can be a dual-citizen and run for Prime Minister, as long as one of those citizenships is Canadian.

Could somebody born in the US, who remains a US citizen but becomes a dual citizen and becomes Prime Minister of Canada run as President if he then gives up his dual citizenship and becomes fully American?

I understand that shouldn’t happen, as intended by the Founding Fathers, but it’s the reality today.

Anyone can be president. The Dems would vote for an MS13 member over Trump.

I don’t want to read 43 pages of Word.
They purposefully make these documents so large to answer single questions.

This is the correct answer. Anyone on Planet Earth can become POTUS if the deep state deems it so. The word salad will be provided to justify anyone’s legitimate candidacy, there are no limits.

The question, was he born in Kenya? Or was he born in Hawaii and became a US Citizen when they became a state?

Hawaii was already a state when Obama was born.

The U.S. Title Code was NOT changed until AFTER he was born though.

Under the old version, and in effect at the time of his birth, his mother did NOT meet the 5-year requirement after age 14.

FWIW

Characteristically, becoming the leader of a foreign country would require relinquishment of American citizenship. Even if that is not formally required by the foreign country, taking an oath of office and loyalty to become a foreign leader or other foreign public official is usually considered to be an act that is inconsistent with holding American citizenship and to work as an automatic rejection of it.

“Or was he born in Hawaii and became a US Citizen when they became a state?”

When Hussein was born (even if he was born in HI — which he wasn’t), HI was a state.

But if HI still was a U.S. Territory, wouldn’t someone born there be a U.S. Citizen? (I don’t know.)

We’re no longer a republic.

Deep State can install whoever the hell it wants while that’s the case.

I've done some research on the subject of citizenship because I learned some time ago...to my surprise...that there's a country that considers me to be its citizen (by ancestry).

There are ways that one can lose their US citizenship...but it's not easy thanks to a number of court rulings in recent years. IIRC one of them is when a US citizen takes a job as an official of a foreign government.
