The climate is changing. So are we

The greatest challenge of the 21st century is here. So, to protect the climate, we’re changing – in ways that might surprise you...

Our goal is net-zero emissions by 2050. How is that possible for a company in the energy-intensive chemical industry? It’s ambitious, for sure. But we’re confident we can get there. That’s because, in our pursuit of change, we’re leaving no stone unturned, questioning everything that can be questioned, and finding inspiration in surprising places

“Our goal is net-zero emissions by 2050.”

That better be a goal of BASF since we blew up Nordstream. It’s easy to be zero emissions when you have no gas to burn in the first place.

“Lying Democrat scum.”
In the interest of energy conservation, just say “Democrat”.
The rest (and soooo very much more) is implied.
These folks are the enemy. The sooner we accept that and act accordingly, there just might be some hope.

Since C02 is PLANT FOOD, and plants are just a little bit necessary for life, we should start awards for the most C02 produced. The Real Greening of the Earth Award.

Just imagine some Real Greening Activists. They could model their activism after the ones that free animals from laboratories. After the climate wackos ‘sequester’ large amounts of C02, the Real Greening activists could ‘free’ the plant food, for use by all the needy plants.

BASF is a German firm with US subsidiaries. I can hardly wait to see how their net zero profits will evolve. Energy costs up in Europe, because — oh darn — one mostly has to burn something to have electrical supply. Hydrocarbons in their many forms, wood and refuse, the splitting atom, and so on. Or BASF (Badische Anilin und Sodafabrik) — a chemical company and manufacturer — can plan on manufacturing net zero products.

Idiots. It CANNOT BE DONE.

Furthermore, there is no rationale or scientific basis for setting that goal.

The West is committing industrial suicide following this insanity. We will die slowly at first, then all at once.

“That better be a goal of BASF since we blew up Nordstream. It’s easy to be zero emissions when you have no gas to burn in the first place.”

That was my first thought also. They won’t be “Net-Zero Emissions” by 2050, rather they’ll be “Zero Emissions” by 2030, with China and possibly the US taking their place (for the US, we need to get the war-mongers out of power first).

Renewable Energy is not free. It's very expensive and unreliable.

I worked for them in 1999 for only one year. I went to another German chemical company for 20 years after that. Don’t worry, none of them have a clue as to what will happen in the future. They are just trying to look good.

The climate is changing?

Sure is.

We had the best winter in 70 years out here in the West. Record snow, record water. No more drought until the idiots drain the reservoirs to appease the watermelon gang at EPA.

Pretty cold too. Places like Bozeman saw 35 - 40 below back in February.

Yup. Climate be changin’. Getting colder and wetter.

Keep pumpin’ dat CO2 up there. Doin Reeeel Good.

I have been sitting around patiently waiting for the climate to change for more than a half century. So far, its been utterly anti climactic. I think I will go back to watching the paint dry.

"Our goal is net-zero emissions by 2050."

Only a liberal fool would try to outlaw 100% of carbon emissions.
