In past times of political turmoil — after the JFK assassination, after the race riots of 1968, after the election of Thatcher in the UK — young people produced a lot of great music, expressing their feelings about the world around them.
But that hasn’t happened, for the most part, in 40 years. I don’t really understand why — the music industry is just part of the reason — but young people are not using the arts to voice outrage. I think most commercially successful music these days is really close to Muzak (it’s basically back ground music — an ever-present soundtrack for your life). It’s not supposed to move you or mean anything.

I was born in 1980, wasn’t the left in control or cementing that control of education, and a lot of the institutions by then? We’ve also had the U.S. Department of Education brought about with an executive order in 1978 or 1979. You have two generations of children who grew into voting age under all of this. These generations are raising the next civically ignorant, and indoctrinated generation. In all honesty, I didn’t start learning about any of this until I started listening to Andrew Wilkow nine years ago.
The lyrics to the pop songs coming out are pretty bad. I got to listening to some of them, tons of gay. Damn near every song, even the rappers are rapping about faggotry.
It is disgusting.
I heard one about Victorea’s Secret, it’s all about blaming the guy that started that company for making her feel bad about being obese as a child.
I am convinced the Gov is steering culture through online platforms, music, and entertainment so I have been paying close attention.
I’d love to know how they are doing it and how come no one talks about it.
The agency doing all this must be massive. I don’t understand how they are getting companies to do all this. Watching TV commercials one would think the country is 90% black and males and females are pretty hard to tell apart.
I think the young and idealistic trust whatever the Democrat party and their MSM propaganda ministry says. There used to be some truth to it:
The Vietnam war was a pointless waste of blood and treasure.
Republican politicians and huge multinational corporations shipped jobs overseas.
The FBI and CIA illegally meddled with everything.
Democrat politicians pretended to care about all those things, and won the trust of the young idealists.
Now itโs obvious to us that the Democrat politicians and MSM were lying all along - but the young idealists have not caught on - they still get their marching orders from the Democrats.
But now itโs the Democrats shipping jobs oversea, starting endless wars and spying on American citizens - yet the young idealists donโt see it - they still think the Democrats are the good guys and the Republicans are the bad guys.
Until that perception changes, they wonโt be writing any protest songs - because the abuses that need to be protested are being perpetrated by their beloved Democrat heroes who they believe can do no wrong.
