A few years ago, a female 'Painted Box' Turtle came to lay her eggs in my garden at the other farm. She was very brave! She made it all the way from the pond, across a HUGE alfalfa field, then across County Road M, then another 50 yards across the lawn to the garden. She probably left home on a Tuesday to accomplish all of that by Saturday! Mother Nature just blows my mind.

Who here likes Radish Sandwiches? Any 'rustic' bread, slathered in Wisconsin creamery butter. Sliced radishes, S & P and sprouts. Always a Springtime Treat around here. I used to grow 'German Bier Garten' radishes for my Grandpa. We'd have them sliced with Kosher salt, Horseradish, a good, dark beer and buttered dark rye bread. Yum!
