You can't even walk down the street in Austin without the pervasive smell of weed wafting on the wind.

And don't even start talking about San Francisco or New York.

Which makes all of the crazies in those places maybe a little more understandable.

Wouldn’t you love to know how many mass shooters use marijuana?

Isn’t it illegal to say anything bad about marijuana? The weed wahhabists are going to show up for you?

Bringing light to the harm caused by marijuana is not appreciated by some posters here.

For some reason, they seem to come out of the woodwork whenever it’s mentioned. Maybe the strength of this article will keep them quiet.

I question the validity of some of these studies. Mental illness usually manifests itself between the ages of 18-25 or so, the same time period when most are likely to experiment with pot. Correlation doesn’t always equal causation. While smoking weed by someone who is vulnerable to mental illness might help precipitate full blown schizophrenia, it’s also just as likely that such a person would eventually develop this disorder without smoking pot.

Drugs are bad fir you
Alcohol is bad for you
it’s not wrong to point these things out. We want to live in a society built on personal freedom and responsibility, and in that case the negative effects of all abused substances would be known and the responsibility for that use would be squarely placed on the shoulders of the FREE PERSON that imbibed in those vices.

But sadly we don’t live in that universe.

Probably why Soros and the WEF pushed it. With their insane genocidal plans for us, people will naturally want to numb out before the knock on their doors and being tossed out on the streets for either the refugees or the new 15 minute Cities. And with the spinelessness of the GOP to do anything to stop the evil democrats, its going to tempt more people taking it. I read today how there's a high suicide rate with farmers in Holland because of the crazed WEFers taking their land.

"The alarming link between schizophrenia and marijuana"

Alarming!???
WTF!

How could something so historically obvious be considered "alarming" at this late (by 50-years) date?

"Expected"..."Usual"..."Normal"..."Highly Anticipated"..."Continuing"...
All are more appropriate attributes than "alarming"...

“Lawmakers should stop decriminalizing recreational marijuana use, and allow it only as prescribed, via strict protocols, by licensed medical doctors. Even then, its use should be a last resort.”

The fatal flaw in this line of thinking is that we already tried completely criminalizing marijuana, which is much more restrictive than what is being suggested here, but that did nothing to stop people who wanted to smoke it from getting it and consuming it.

Re: "Pervasive smell of weed"

One huge problem not generally recognized...

Most apartments ban ALL smoking, and no one can smoke within 25 feet of a doorway or open window.

Here in Seattle, where marijuana is legally sold, you can get evicted for smoking weed, inside or outside your apartment, after just one warning.

Solution...

Younger people smoke weed in their cars while driving or just walking around on the sidewalk or in parks.

"Placenta, Not Brain: Groundbreaking Study Shifts the Schizophrenia Narrative"

"A new study conducted by the Lieber Institute for Brain Development suggests that the risk of schizophrenia is largely due to the role of over 100 associated genes in the placenta, rather than in the developing brain."

It is the stench of decay and decline. And is now in every city in North America.

Does the mental illness promote smoking or the smoking promote mental illness? I suspect there is some of each. Certainly many more heavy users and stronger weed than back in the day.

The legalization of weed will not end well.

Can anyone name one POSITIVE “THING” that has occurred in those areas where weed is legal?

This association has been known for more than 50 years...

However, if you state the truth about it, even here, you will get the pro pot folks calling you a liar.
