ransgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney's partnership with Bud Light has catapulted company partnerships into the limelight, and Rose Montoya, a Latinx transgender influencer, thinks the furor could explain why some brands are rethinking partnerships leading up to Pride month.
Mulvaney became the subject of widespread criticism after Bud Light sent her a commemorative can with her face on it to celebrate her one-year anniversary of transitioning to a woman. Anheuser-Busch's stock dropped in the wake of the boycott and the company has seen a decline in Bud Light sales, forcing the company to part ways with several executives and walk back the significance of the Mulvaney partnership.
Montoya told Newsweek that she's seen fewer sponsorship opportunities since the Bud Light boycott began on April 1. With two weeks until Pride Month begins, Montoya told Newsweek she has received less than a dozen emails regarding sponsorship opportunities when normally she would have received "dozens and dozens."
"What's wild is usually all of April and May I'm receiving dozens of emails from all sorts of brands large and small, networks, in-person speaking events, you name it," Montoya said. "The last three years have been overwhelming with the amount of emails asking to work with me for Pride.
"I haven't received a dozen yet," she added.
Most of Montoya's sponsorships and partnership opportunities are centered around June, which is Pride Month. For years, companies have used the month as a time to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, making transgender influencers a sought-after partnership deal. Montoya expected this year to be the same, but the surge in business opportunities she usually receives in April and May hasn't transpired.

I don't even know who this person is.
At the end of the day that’s what this nonsense is about, no talent hacks have found an easy con. Play being a woman and get cash thrown at you.
Maybe companies are rethinking being associated with divisive social and political issues. Maybe companies will focus on just selling their products, without being a sponsor of homosexual pride parades and events.
History will be very unkind to this decade, years from now.
Credit due to Jesse Jackson. He started this gig with his “Rainbow Push Coalition”. I’m sure he had no idea of its potential?
“I don’t even know who this person is.”
Neither does he.

You know, I don’t really care, let’s all live together.
But do I have to celebrate a month of this? I say give them Friday and Saturday night, 11pm to 6am, for the month. They have parades, socialize, and do their stuff, and we can just stay home. It’s a win-win.
Mulvaney didn’t trans into a woman, he trans’d into a sideshow freak.
What the hell is a Latinx? Won’t trust a word of this article.
What the hell is a Latinx?
They are going to whine about this until most of the country gives up from fatigue. For many, this doesn’t take too long.
On one level, you have to admire all these no talent, no name, idiotic “influencers” running a great con and getting companies to pay them.
We should abolish ‘pride month’ and instead make it ‘taxpayer’s holiday month’. Millions of people like myself don’t support any ‘gay pride’ anything. Homosexuality is something people need to seek psychiatric help for, not be commended and glorified for. But a month that everyone can skip taxes on, including corporations, is something that every taxpayer can support.
That’s far more worthy than anything having to do with a mental disorder like gayness.
Sure, label me a bigot over it. The Bible’s on my side and I’m fine with that. I sleep very well at night.
Only an ugly chubby white woman with blue hair college graduate could invent something as stupid as “latinx.”
Don’t worry you billion latin language based speakers, here comes a blue haired diversity expert to completely rewrite your language to make some trannies feel better.
did he mention the names of the companies?
just curious
You must not believe in God then.
a woke term the latinos hate
Gay or not, our society doesn’t lack for a sufficient supply of annoying goofballs. It’s not the gayness, or not just that, but normal, serious people can’t expect to warm to non normal, unserious people.
