I remember reading about this event, and looking at photos, 10 or more years ago.

What I saw was sickening.

There were photos of women with children in strollers enjoying the “festivities” and items being sold included butt-plugs in the shape of Jesus and various saints.

I remember accidentally stumbling onto this fair while walking from the Civic Center BART station to an arts and crafts fair at the Concourse Exhibition Center (now defunct).

I couldn't get through it fast enough and took a different route back to the BART station.
