Honestly, under the current climate, you could argue that it’s actually a gutsy move on SI’s part to feature a REAL woman. The way things are, it would not be shocking to see Dylan Mulvaney on the cover. At first I was thinking, “This is going to hurt their ESG Score”. But then, I realized that by featuring an 81-year-old woman, they are getting ESG points for “combatting ageism”. What a world we live in today. ugh

I remember the brilliant idea of inviting Snoop Dog on her cooking show. He was “dressed to the nines” in an Oriental style that must have cost thousands of dollars, and he looked immaculate. He soon became a regular, and he and Martha hung out a lot. Of course, he dressed down after that to not outshine her.
Dying magazines do a lot of things to attract attention.
None of the gimmicks works, but they do create publicity for the magazine.
